Football’s back!! These last 6,7 months have put everyone on a roller coaster ride. With everything going on this year, we should be thankful we get to see Football. Yes we’re seeing empty stadiums, however, at least we got Football. Nurses, and Doctors around the world, are working their tails off, to help get the world back to normal. When your watching Football, remember what they have done for us. Without them, we probably wouldn’t have Football this year. I mean, without Football, realistically, what would us Football fans be doing? The Big Ten announced last week, their playing, and will play a shortened schedule. Ohio State has entered the chat. Now it’s really game on. This is the most wonderful time of the year. Originally before the Big Ten announced they were playing, I had Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma making the playoff. Now with Ohio State in the mix, their in. It was between Oklahoma and Texas for the final spot, and the Sooners just edged them out. Here are my College Football Playoff Predictions. Their records include Conference Championship Games. I hope you enjoy!

  1. Clemson 12-0  vs  4. Oklahoma 10-1

This shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody, as Clemson is back in the playoff. If Ohio State played a full schedule like Clemson, I would have the Buckeyes 1. However with their shortened schedule, no way they can be ranked ahead of the 12-0 Tigers. The Tigers were ecstatic when Travis Etienne announced he would pass up on the NFL, and would return to School. Tee Higgins left early for the NFL, and Justyn Ross is out for the season. So you’re probably wondering, who’s T Law throwing to? Amari Rogers decided to stay for his Senior season, which was huge for the Tigers. WR Joseph Ngata is going to the next best Clemson WR, and he’s going to be one of Lawrence’s favourite targets this year. RSr WR Cornell Powell is finally atop the depth chart, and will be one of the leaders on that Clemson Offense. TE Braden Galloway missed all but the playoff games last season, after serving a 1 year ban, because of a failed drug test. He bulked up this offseason, and is a name to keep an eye on in that Clemson Offense. With a strong year, he might end up declaring for next year’s Draft. The Defense took a hit, with losing Isaiah Simmons, A.J. Terrell, Tanner Muse, and K’Von Wallace. Derion Kendrick will be one of the best CB’s in College Football this year. S Nolan Turner is back as a 5th year Senior. You might remember him from the game against Ohio State last year. He Intercepted Justin Fields in the last minute of the game, to seal the victory over the Buckeyes. If you don’t, this will probably remind you.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-crWP7blKY. Xavier Thomas isn’t playing this year due to medical reasons, which does hurt the Tigers a bit. DL Bryan Bresee was one of the top recruits in the country this year, and had an impressive opening game against Wake Forest, posting 3 tackles, a half sack, and also blocked a field goal. He looks like a future first round pick. EDGE Myles Murphy, who also was one of the top recruits this year, had an impressive opener as well, collecting a team-high 7 tackles (3 for a loss), and 2 sacks.

The Spencer Rattler era in Norman, has officially begun. Rattler was a 5 star recruit, and was the #1 pro style Quarterback in the 2019 Class. Rattler will be a RS Freshman this season, and is Draft eligible in 2022. Does he come out in 2022? Rattler has some big shoes to fill, with 2 Heisman Winners, and a Heisman runner-up, in Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts respectively. He looked stellar in their opener 2 weeks ago against Missouri State. He went 14 of 17, for 290 Yards, and threw 4 Touchdowns. He only played the first half. Yea I know, he looks good. CeeDee Lamb is gone, and Grant Calcaterra is transferring. Charleston Rambo is ready to be the #1 WR for the Sooners. With a good season, he could go high in next year’s Draft. Jadon Haselwood, who was the #1 WR recruit in the 2019 class, is going to miss part of the season with a leg injury. Once he’s back, I expect him to be one of the best Sophomore WR’s in College Football. The leader of their Defense Kenneth Murray is gone. They also did lose their top CB Parnell Motley. So the Sooners will need some guys to step on Defense.

Final Score: Clemson  30 Oklahoma 14

2. Alabama 12-0  vs  3. Ohio State 9-0

The last time, these 2 powerhouses played, it was the 2015 Sugar Bowl, with the Buckeyes coming on top, en route, to beating Oregon to win the National Championship, which was the inaugural playoff format. Justin Fields started that petition to play, and he got his wish. I mean, maybe without it, the Big Ten might not be playing Football this year. We should tip our cap to Mr. Fields. J.K. Dobbins left early for the NFL, however they got Oklahoma transfer Trey Sermon, and he should be one of the best RB’s in College Football. Keep in mind, they still have Master Teague III, and he will see action. The Buckeyes did lose K.J. Hill, Binjimen Victor, and Austin Mack, but don’t worry Buckeye fans, 3 studs from this year’s recruiting class are replacing them. Julian Fleming (#1 WR in the nation), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (#5 WR in the nation), and Gee Scott Jr. (#10 WR in the nation). They all are going to see playing time immediately, and I see them all making an impact, especially Fleming. Keep in mind, the Buckeyes still have Chris Olave, and also Garrett Wilson. Justin Fields is going to have a hay day with these Receivers. This WR core is very scary, and I see them being the best in College Football this season. All those WR’s I mentioned, all have first round potential. Look out. Defensive Coordinator’s will have trouble sleeping at night. On Defense, the Buckeyes lost quite a bit. Chase Young, DaVon Hamilton, Robert Landers, Malik Harrison, Jeffrey Okudah, Damon Arnette, and also Jordan fuller. The Buckeyes will have one of the top Linebacking units in the nation, in Baron Browning, Tuf Borland, and Pete Werner. Shaun Wade originally opted out, and would start preparing for the Draft, however on Thursday, he announced he would return to School, which is huge for the Buckeyes Secondary. He will now primarily play Outside, with Okudah and Arnette gone, instead of playing mainly in the Slot. With a strong year, he could be CB1 in next year’s Draft.

Is Mac Jones the real deal? True Freshman Bryce Young, who was the #1 dual-threat Quarterback in this year’s class, should be called upon, if Jones struggles. This may sound bizarre, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Young came off the bench, to replace Jones, and lead the Tide to the Natty. Sound familiar? They did lose Jeudy and Ruggs, but they should be okay. Jaylen Waddle is still their, and he might be the most explosive player in College Football. They were thrilled when DeVonta Smith, and Najee Harris passed on the NFL, and announced they would return to Tuscaloosa. The Tide lost some key players on that Defense. Raekwon Davis, Anfernee Jennings, Terrell Lewis, Trevon Diggs, Xavier McKinney, Shyheim Carter, and Jared Mayden are all gone. Dylan Moses is back from a torn ACL, and he’s going to give that Defense a much-needed boost. If he played last year, they might have beaten LSU, and maybe LSU doesn’t win the Natty. Think how much Moses, means to that Crimson Tide Defense. He led the team in tackles as a true Freshman, and as a Sophomore. Patrick Surtain II, might be the best Corner in all of College Football, and he’s going to anchor that Secondary. CB Josh Jobe, is a name to keep an eye on throughout the season. If he has a good season, he could declare for the Draft, and be an early round pick.

Final Score: Ohio State 30  Alabama 20

National Championship: 1. Clemson 13-0  vs  3. Ohio State 10-0

Well, well, well. Look who we have here. Clemson and Ohio State. The 2 best teams in College Football. Lawrence vs Fields Part II. What a time to be alive. You better get your popcorn ready. I know I will. This will only be the second time, these 2 future franchise Quarterbacks will be facing off. You probably thought they’ve faced off a few times before didn’t you? January 11th, can’t come soon enough. If last year’s game put you on the edge of your seat, guaranteed this one will too. I don’t think I sat still once, during that game. This won’t be the last time these 2 studs meet that’s for sure. Will Justin Fields take down Trevor Lawrence and ride off in the sunset? Or, will Lawrence ride off, and capture his 2nd National Championship? I’ve been saying it for months now, they need to have a rematch. This time it will be on the biggest stage. Last year, Clemson came back from a 16 point deficit, and took down the Buckeyes, in a game for the ages. Let’s hit the rewind button. In the 3rd Quarter, Justyn Ross caught a pass, then Okudah knocked it loose forcing a fumble, and Jordan Fuller returned it for a Touchdown. They said Ross didn’t complete the process of a catch, and the play was overturned. In my opinion, it was a catch and a fumble. The Buckeyes simply got robbed. Would they have beaten the Tigers if the play stood? I think so. If Ohio State won, would more people have Fields as their QB1 in next year’s Draft over Lawrence? In the last minute of the game, Fields threw a pass intended for Chris Olave, and it was Intercepted by Nolan Turner, sealing the win for Clemson. Did Fields make the wrong read? Or, should have Olave continued on the route? If he continued running, would he have came down with it? What if. Clemson’s Secondary is very inexperienced, and I see Fields throwing for 4 Touchdowns on them. With Justyn Ross out, I just don’t see Clemson keeping up with the Buckeyes Offense. Yes, Etienne came back, and that helps, but Ross out, really hurts them, and it’s the difference maker for me. Lawrence will still probably be the top Quarterback off the board next April, however, I feel that Fields ain’t getting enough love. After patiently sitting behind Jake Fromm for a year, and how he went out last year, it’s time for Fields to get what he wants. Justin Fields deserves this. This is not by no means a brick towards Lawrence. Lawrence has already got his ring, and it’s time for Fields to get his. Fields patiently waits 13 months, for revenge, and he gets it.

Final Score: Ohio State 33 Clemson 23
