The NFL Draft is just over two weeks away and the rumors are swirling. Will we see four Quarterbacks taken with the first four picks? It is more than possible. It will be interesting to see which players fall due to them sitting out a year. Anyways, here is my take on a full 2021 NFL Draft.
*Indicates compensatory pick
Round 1
- Jacksonville Jaguars

Selection: Trevor Lawrence – QB – Clemson
This pick is a no-brainer. You know it, I know it, every football fan in the world knows it. Trevor Lawrence is one of the best Quarterback prospects to ever come out and he will be the man who turns around the Jaguars franchise.
2. New York Jets
Selection: Zach Wilson – QB – BYU
The Jets GM Joe Douglas was open about the fact that the Jets have zeroed in on a QB. Although he hasn’t publicly said it was Zach Wilson, all signs are pointing that way. The Jets get to start over with Sam Darnold being shipped to Carolina. With a new Head Coach and new Quarterback, New York looks to be getting on the right track with this pick.
3. San Francisco 49ers (via Houston)
Selection: Mac Jones – QB – Alabama
The buzz around the league is that San Fran loves Mac Jones, and deservedly so. Most experts have Mac Jones listed as the 5th best QB in the class and the only reason for that is because he isn’t flashy. Arm talent wise, Mac is a gifted and an incredibly accurate passer. He is sneaky athletic and will thrive in Kyle Shanahan’s offence.
4. Atlanta Falcons
Selection: Justin Fields – QB – Ohio State
Atlanta has been rumored to potentially move out of this spot. They are in a luxurious spot and although they might not need a Quarterback right now, it is never a bad decision to allow a young QB to sit and learn from a former league MVP. I think Fields will benefit from not seeing the field in his first NFL season.
5. Cincinnati Bengals
Selection: Penei Sewell – OT – Oregon
Ja’Marr Chase would be the sexy pick for the Bengals, as they would be reuniting Burrow with his former college teammate. However, the smart pick is to go offensive line. Sewell will protect Burrow’s blindside for the next decade.
6. Miami Dolphins (via Philadelphia)
Selection: Ja’Marr Chase – WR – LSU
After opting out of the 2020 season, Chase remains as the best receiver of this years class. There really isn’t anything negative you can say about his playing ability after watching tape. He might only be 6-foot but he plays bigger than his height. Tua and Chase will be lighting up the endzone game after game.
*Trade*
7. Washington Football Team (via Detroit)
Selection: Trey Lance – QB – North Dakota State
Yes my first trade of the first round. I think Washington becomes aggressive and gives up their 1st round pick this year, their 2021 & 2022 first round picks, as well as their 2022 3rd round pick. Washington had a great Free Agency adding Curtis Samuel and bringing in veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick. Even with the addition of Fitzpatrick, Washington still needs to address their long-term solution for Quarterback. Lance has great size and will be able to learn from Fitzpatrick who has seen it all in this league.
8. Carolina Panthers
Selection: Kyle Pitts – TE – Florida
Carolina was able to grab Sam Darnold without giving up too much. With the top Quarterbacks off the board, the Panthers are able to take the best player available with Pitts falling right into their laps. An offence of CMC, Robby Anderson, DJ Moore, and now Kyle Pitts would be dangerous.
9. Denver Broncos
Selection: Micah Parsons – LB – Penn State
Denver has quietly built one of the best rosters in football. They have flown under the radar and brought in several key pieces and developed their own. Micah Parsons will be able to captain Vic Fangio’s defense cementing it as one of the top units in the league. If Denver can figure out their Quarterback situation, rather that be Drew Lock or someone else, they will be a dark horse team in the AFC.
10. Dallas Cowboys
Selection: Patrick Surtain II – CB – Alabama
Dallas needs to address their defense, they were atrocious last season. It won’t matter how many points Dak and the gang put up if their defense can’t stop anyone. Surtain II is the best corner in this class and pairing him with his former teammate Trevon Diggs will accelerate his development.
11. New York Giants
Selection: Rashawn Slater – OT – Northwestern
The Giants went out and got a true no. 1 receiver in Free Agency with Kenny Golladay, now with an underrated defense they look to address the offensive line. Rashawn Slater can step in and start day one. Protecting Daniel Jones will go along way in helping him make a third year leap.
12. Philadelphia Eagles (via San Francisco)
Selection: Jaylen Waddle – WR – Alabama
After trading back and accumulating picks, the Eagles can put some weapons around Jalen Hurts. The selection of Jaylen Waddle will give their offense a dynamic playmaker. Waddle has been compared to Tyreek Hill and if that’s true, he will be a Pro Bowler each year.
13. Los Angeles Chargers
Selection: Alijah Vera-Tucker – IOL – USC
I have been saying it all off-season, the Chargers need to address the offensive line. I have Vera-Tucker listed as an Interior Offensive Line as he is best fitted to play the Guard position. However, he proved he is capable of playing Tackle last season. Herbert needs protection and plugging Vera-Tucker into their line will go a long way.
14. Minnesota Vikings
Selection: Gregory Rousseau – DE – Miami
Rousseau remains as my top edge rusher. The Vikings are looking to be a dangerous team in 2021. A re-built Secondary, a healthy Linebacker core, and beefed up Defensive Line will make things easier for their under appreciated Offense. Danielle Hunter and Gregory Rousseau will be a terrorizing sight for Quarterbacks.
*Trade*
15. Detroit Lions (via New England)
Selection: DeVonta Smith – WR – Alabama
After trading back to 19 with Washington, I think Detroit makes a move to get back into the top 15 picks and select a game changer at the Receiver position. Newly acquired Quarterback Jared Goff needs weapons and they get their guy here. I would like to see Smith put on a few pounds but even at his current size I think he will have success in the NFL.
16. Arizona Cardinals
Selection: Caleb Farley – CB – Virginia Tech
Long-time Arizona Cardinal Corner Patrick Peterson is gone. His replacement is no other than Caleb Farley out of Virginia Tech. With the return of Chandler Jones and the addition of JJ Watt, the secondary is the biggest hole on the Cardinals roster. No more excuses for Kliff Kingsbury, now is the time to make a run in the playoffs.
17. Las Vegas Raiders
Selection: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah – LB – Notre Dame
The Raiders are lacking a playmaker on the defensive side of the ball. JOK is a modern style linebacker who can do it all. He can rush the passer, make tackles in the open field, and cover the slot. He will makes plays in the backfield and from sideline to sideline. The Raiders are getting a baller with this pick.
18. Miami Dolphins
Selection: Jaelan Phillips – DE – Miami
After taking a Ja’Marr Chase earlier, the Dolphins address the pass rush with this pick. Staying local with the Defensive End out of Miami, Phillips had a monster year in 2020. Proving that he is one of the best pass rushers in this years Draft.
*Trade*
19. New England Patriots (via Washington)
Selection: Kwity Paye – DE – Michigan
It has been a busy first round for New England. History has shown us that they are more than willing to trade back to accumulate draft picks. With the top Quarterbacks gone off the board, moving back four picks is reasonable. Kwity Paye falls into their laps and the Pats defense returns to form.
20. Chicago Bears
Selection: Christian Darrisaw – OT – Virginia Tech
As hard as it may be to believe, Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace must have a plan in place. Chicago may be a team that moves up for a Quarterback as we all know, Andy Dalton is not the solution. However, in the mean time the Offensive Line needs to be better. Christian Darrisaw is one of the top Tackles in this years class and is a top prospect for the Bears to target.
21. Indianapolis Colts
Selection: Samuel Cosmi – OT – Texas
The loss of Anthony Castonzo will play a huge factor into Indy’s draft plans. After trading for Carson Wentz, I don’t think they wanted to give up a first-round pick for him this year because of the talented Tackles. Keeping Wentz up right will go a long way to him returning to form. Cosmi is an absolute monster standing at 6-foot-7 and has a ton of experience playing both Left and Right Tackle. He is a day-one capable starter and will plug into one of the best offensive lines in the league.
22. Tennessee Titans
Selection: Azeez Ojulari – OLB – Georgia
The Titans pass-rush was lackluster last season to say the least. Even with the addition of Bud Dupree, EDGE Rusher should still be a priority. The Clowney experiment didn’t pay off and Dupree is coming off of a torn ACL. The Titans need to get a young guy who can get after the Quarterback and wreck havoc in the backfield.
23. New York Jets (via Seattle)
Selection: Rashod Bateman – WR – Minnesota
I am extremely high on Bateman, despite him not playing in 2020. He might be the best route-runner in the class and has reliable hands. They took Zach Wilson with the second overall pick and now they’re surrounding him with the pieces to succeed.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers
Selection: Najee Harris – RB – Alabama
It is no secret that Head Coach Mike Tomlin and GM Kevin Colbert love Najee Harris. There was a glaring hole at the Runningback position last season on the Steelers offence. A lot of people are putting the blame on Ben Roethlisberger, but when you are forced to throw the ball forty-five times a game, you won’t win many games. The Steelers finished dead last in rushing last season and were incredibly hard to watch down the stretch. Harris will come in as the featured back as the Steelers get back to their old ground-and-pound ways.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars (via Los Angeles Rams)
Selection: Christian Barmore – DL – Alabama
The Jaguars addressed the Defensive Line in Free Agency, but I don’t think that will stop them from doing that again early in the Draft. Malcolm Brown may be a Jaguar now but Tyson Alualu decided against returning to his former team. Insert Christian Barmore. Barmore is a run stuffing stud that can help beef up the middle of the Jags Defensive Line
26. Cleveland Browns
Selection: Jaycee Horn – CB – South Carolina
This may be the biggest steal of the draft. I think it is a real possibility that teams trade up for Horn as he has the makings of a shutdown corner. Horn will be a Pro Bowl caliber Cornerback in the Browns secondary for years to come.
27. Baltimore Ravens
Selection: Joseph Ossai – OLB – Texas
Joseph Ossai screams Baltimore Ravens to me. They lost both Matt Judon and Yannick Ngakoue in Free Agency, leaving a void at the pass rusher position. Ossai is quick off the edge and will provide some much needed youth on their defensive line.
28. New Orleans Saints
Selection: Zaven Collins – LB – Tulsa
The Saints may have had the biggest roster turnover amongst NFL teams this off-season. Kwon Alexander was released and Demario Davis isn’t getting any younger, which makes Linebacker a top priority for the Saints. Zaven Collins is a grown man and can cover sideline to sideline.
29. Green Bay Packers
Selection: Kadarius Toney – WR – Florida
As I’ve said before, the Packers drastically need to give Aaron Rodgers some weapons. A true number two option beside Devante Adams may be exactly what the Packers need to get over the hump. Toney may be the shiftiest players in this years Draft. He may drop a pass here and there but getting the ball into his hands will only make good things happen.
30. Buffalo Bills
Selection: Travis Etienne – RB – Clemson
The Buffalo Bills may have been the biggest surprise of the 2020 NFL season. Everyone had high expectations but who would have thought they would make it to the AFC Championship? As good as they were, they struggled running the ball and Devin Singletary only reached the endzone twice. As good as Josh Allen is as a runner, I don’t want to see him take unnecessary hits. Travis Etienne is a home run hitter who can do it all.
31. Kansas City Chiefs
Selection: Teven Jenkins – OT – Oklahoma State
After watching the Super Bowl, this shouldn’t be a big surprise to anyone. As good as Patrick Mahomes is, he can’t do very much if he has no pass protection. Obviously their Offensive Line was banged up in Tampa but it was evident that they could not block anyone. Joe Thuney, Kyle Long, and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif will beef up the interior Offensive Line but Tackle remains an issue. The Chiefs are also rumored to be in on Ravens Left Tackle Orlando Brown. If the Chiefs are able to pull that trade off and land Jenkins, their Offensive Line will become one of the best units in the league.
32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Selection: Levi Onwuzurike – DL – Washington
The Bucs are doing something that has never been done before, the defending champs returning 22-of-22 starters from the Super Bowl. They can go in any direction, but adding Onwuzurike to the mix will allow them to have a fantastic rotation on the Defensive Line.
Round 2

Selection: Trevon Moehrig – S – TCU
34. New York Jets
Selection: Joe Tryon – DE – Washington
35. Atlanta Falcons
